Villanova women's soccer will play their final two home games of the regular season this Thursday and Sunday. First the Wildcats will host the St. John's Red Storm on Thursday afternoon and then DePaul will travel to the Main Line for a Sunday afternoon match. Sunday's game will be Senior Day, with the ceremony beginning at 12:30.
These two conference battles will help decide the BIG EAST postseason standings. Currently Villanova, DePaul, and St. John's are in a three way tie for sixth place with six points in conference play.
Villanova is 6-9 for the year and 2-4 in conference play, while the Red Storm's are also 2-4 in BIG EAST play, they are 6-8-1 overall entering Thursday's contest. Before coming to Villanova on Sunday, DePaul will play at Providence Thursday night. Currently the Blue Demons are 5-7-3 overall and 1-2-3 in BIG EAST play.
Prior to Sunday's game the team's six seniors and one graduate student will be recognized during a Senior Day ceremony. Emily Harris, Siobhan O'Toole, Sam DePinho, Emily Kuefler, Amanda Vocelka, Erin Hughes, and Emma Firenze have helped the team this season reach new heights under new head coach Chris McLain.
Thursday's game will kick off at 4 P.M. while Sunday will start at 1:00 P.M., both can be seen on BEDN.
