VILLANOVA, Pa.-- Due to the heavy rainfall expected in the area on Saturday, the two soccer games this Sunday that are part of the Villanova Classic have been moved to Olsen Field at Eastern University. Each game is also moving back 30 minutes and the contests will begin at Noon and 3 p.m., respectively.
Please use the link at the top of this release to access driving directions to the Eastern University campus. Please note that the directions will include parking information for both the Gym lot where the field is located as well as the main campus parking lots. Fans who attend Sunday's games are encouraged to park in the main campus parking lots, which are approximately 150 yards from the soccer field. Parking in the Gym lot is extremely limited and the lot will close once full.
Loyola (Md.) will face San Diego State at Noon in the first game of the day on Sunday and Villanova will follow against La Salle at 3 p.m. The four teams are opening the Villanova Classic this afternoon with games at the West Campus Soccer Complex.
Olsen Field at Eastern University is a turf field that the Wildcats have used before. Most recently, Villanova played an exhibition game against North Carolina State on the field at the beginning of the 2007 season.
