VILLANOVA, PA. - Villanova head women's soccer coach Ann Clifton recently announced the team's 2002 schedule. The Wildcats will attempt to repeat upon a season that saw them earn their first-ever NCAA berth.

Villanova has 10 home games and nine away games on their slate this season. The Wildcats have their normal nine-game Big East schedule with home games versus Rutgers, Notre Dame, Georgetown and St. John's, and road games at Connecticut, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Miami and Seton Hall.

Clifton's Villanova squad will also play 10 non-conference games with six coming at home and four on the road. The Wildcats play George Mason, La Salle, Saint Joseph's, Princeton, Howard and Mount St. Mary's at the Villanova Soccer Complex. The `Cats will hit the road for four non-conference contests, including at Lehigh, Towson, Navy and Florida International.

Villanova will begin the 2002 season at home on Saturday, Aug. 31, hosting George Mason at 1:00 p.m. The Wildcats will then travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to face Lehigh at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
