VILLANOVA, PA. - Villanova women's soccer standout Michelle Biehl (Jr., Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was invited to train with the U.S. Under-21 Women's Soccer National Team on April 16-25 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

The April training session will lead to selections for a trip to Brazil with the squad from May 20-31, followed by another training session in California from June 18-27. All of this is leading up to the 2004 Nordic Cup, which will be conducted in Iceland from July 19-30.

Biehl led the Villanova program to a 15-5-5 record in 2003, along with the Wildcats' first-ever Big East Tournament Championship and NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. The `Cats set a new school record for wins in a season with 15 and Finished the season Ranked 15th in Final NSCAA Poll.

The Villanova junior piled up the honors in 2003. She was named to M.A.C.'s Hermann Trophy Watch List prior to the season and proved why with an outstanding `03 campaign. Biehl's was the first player in the history of the Wildcat women's soccer program to receive All-America accolades two consecutive years. Her post-season honors in 2003 included: Soccer Buzz Second Team All-America honors, NSCAA Third Team All-American accolades, Soccer Buzz All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honors, NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team accolades and All-Big East Second Team status.
