VILLANOVA, PA. - On Thursday, Jan. 10, Villanova University women's soccer senior Dyane Noonan was named to the 2001-2002 Verizon Academic All-District II Women's Soccer Team.

Noonan wound down her Wildcat career in fine fashion this season, as she led Villanova to a 13-6-3 record and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth. The `Cats defeated the University of Pennsylvania, 2-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to nationally ranked Penn State, 3-0, in the tournament's second round.

Noonan is a two-time Villanova co-captain, who has excelled on and off the field of play. On the field, she has been the anchor of a strong Wildcat defense. Off the field, she is a three-time Big East Academic All-Star.

Noonan is a senior communications/political science major who currently has a 3.978 cumulative GPA.
