2007: Appeared in one game and played the final 20:48 of a shutout win against St. Peter's on September 11 ... Faced one shot while in the net.

2006: Made her collegiate debut after a redshirt season her freshman year ... Serving as primary backup to Jillian Loyden played in four games and totaled 52:30 in the net ... Allowed just one goal and made one save ... Played a season-high 23:34 in win over Fairleigh Dickinson in season's second game ... Played final 12:04 of NCAA Tournament first round win over Toledo ... Also saw action in wins over Butler and Pittsburgh.

2005: Did not appear in any games while recovering from an early-season injury.

Club Team and ODP Experience: Club team is the Beadling Centennials ... Helped lead her squad to Pennsylvania West championships each year from 1999-2005 ... Team was also a regional semifinalist in 2001 and 2003, as well as the Continental Alliance champions in 2001 ... Recipient of the Region 1 Fair Play Award in 2003.

North Allegheny High School: Named a WPIAL Class AAA all-star in 2004 and was an all-section choice in 2002 and 2004 ... Two-time team captain ... Led team to WPIAL third-place finish in 2004 and spot in the state playoffs ... Maintained 0.63 goals-against average as a senior.

Academic and Community Honors: Two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... Goal Student all four years in high school ... Member of the National Honor Society and recipient of the Student-Athlete Award.

Personal: Born 5/20/87 in Birmingham, Ala. ... Younger of two children of Mark and Pamela Kania ... Has an older brother Matt (23) who played ice hockey at Virginia Military Institute ... Chose Villanova because of its Christian foundations, academic program and for the opportunity to play soccer ... Plans to major in Comprehensive Science.
