RUMSON, N.J. - The Villanova rowing team will kick off its fall season Saturday morning when it travels to Rumson, N.J. to compete in the fourth annual Rumson Boat Race on the Navesink River. Army, Drexel and Rutgers will join the Wildcats to seek the Governor's and Mayor's Cup awarded to the winner.
The course is approximately one mile long and teams will launch between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. from the Rumson Crew location between Victory Park and Barnacle Bill's restaurant on the Navesink River.
Coaches will join Chair Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and the Reception Committee the night (6:30 p.m.) before at the Rumson Country Club for a dinner reception in honor of the regatta.
