VILLANOVA, PA. -- Villanova University head women's rowing coach Carissa Adams today announced the addition of Taya Diangelo to the Wildcats coaching staff.
Diangelo arrives at Villanova from the University of Pennsylvania where she was a volunteer assistant from 2014-2017. In this position, she assisted the full-time coaches in the day to day management and coaching of 50 Ivy League student-athletes.
She has also had assistant coaching experience at the high school level. From 2007-14, she was an assistant coach at Germantown Academy in nearby Fort Washington, Pa. During her stint at Germantown Academy she served as the novice coach for a team of 40-50 athletes.
Diangelo was most recently the Regatta Manager for the Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia. In this role, she handled all managing registration duties for the Stotesbury Cup Regatta which is the world's largest scholastic regatta. These duties included deadline reminders, eligibility requirements, accounts receivable and line-up changes.
Diangelo is a 1999 graduate of the University of San Diego where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She also owns a Level II U.S. Rowing Coaching Certification.
