Henley-on-Thames, England-Villanova fell to Imperial College in 5:09 in the first semifinal of the Senior 8s on the second day of the Henley Women's Regatta.

'Nova, fighting occasional gusts of wind, got off to a fairly good start and was almost even with Imperial coming to the end of the island that marks the start of the race.

Imperial began taking seats from Villanova at almost the halfway point in the course. The 'Cats held steady in the final 300m, but Imperial College's lead was enough to win the race.
