Strong Winds Hamper Rowers at Princeton Chase

Oct. 30, 2006

Princeton, N.J. - Due to strong headwind and some rough waters, the small boat races as well as all fours races were cancelled. As a result, the Women's Open Eight was the only boat that competed for Villanova. They finished in a time of 17:55.38 to put them in 42nd place out of 54 entries.

All in all, it was a tough weekend on the water for the rowers, after the Head of the Schuylkill regatta was cancelled due to the high winds and adverse conditions.

The Wildcats will conlcude the fall portion of their schedule in two weeks, when they return to Princeton, N.J. for the Belly of the Carnegie regatta on November 12.
