MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Villanova won the only race they competed in as they edged University of Massachusetts on the Connecticut River on Saturday, October 16.
The Villanova Women's Pair finished in a time of 9:19.60, which beat out University of Massachusetts by 1.6 seconds. They were the only two teams to compete in this particular event.
In what has been deemed as a fall rowing tradition since 1974, The Head of the Connecticut was a rough outing for all of the boats that competed. The Villanova Women's Pair was the only boat that raced due to the impending dangerous weather.
Villanova will next be in action at the 47th Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass. The event start time will be at 8:00 a.m.
