PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - On the final day of competition at the 71st Annual Dad Vail Regatta, three Villanova boats competed in the semifinals or finals of their respective events. The varsity lightweight fours raced in the finals of the Robert Espeseth Trophy and finished in sixth place with a time of 7:59.315, while two other entries raced in semifinal heats.

The Wildcats entry in the novice heavyweight eights finished fourth out of six in the first of three semifinal heats with a time of 6:59.381. The top two boats in each heat advanced to the finals and Villanova was just three seconds out of finishing second in its heat.

In the varsity heavyweight fours, Villanova placed fourth out of six in the second of three semifinal heats with a time of 7:38.824 and missed qualifying for the finals by 10 seconds.

The Dad Vail Regatta concluded the spring season for the Wildcats.
