Villanova Battles Philadelphia Schools on the Schuylkill

Varsity 8+ brings home first place

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Villanova competed against Drexel and Philadelphia University on the Schuylkill River in the Varsity 8+ and Freshman 8+ 2000 meter events.

The Wildcats came in first place in the Varsity 8+ event edging Drexel by 2:21, to finish with a time of 6:37.28. In the second Varsity 8+ Villanova came in third place with a time of 7:05.03, which was less than five seconds behind the leader, Philadelphia. In the Freshman 8+ the Wildcats caught a boast stopping crab with 750 meters to go and finished in third with a time of 7:41.46.
