Coventry, Conn. - The Villanova University women's rowing team traveled to Coventry, Connecticut on Friday, April 6 to take on the University of Connecticut Huskies. The conditions were far from perfect, with 15-20 mph winds and large waves, it nearly prevented the regatta from taking place.

But the teams did end up competing and Uconn came out on top in all four races. In the Varsity Eight, Villanova narrowly missed a first place finish by just two seconds, coming in with a time of 7:10.12.

In the Varsity Four event, Uconn finished well ahead of Villanova, who posted a time of 8:22.95. The Huskies also won the Lightweight Four event by a comfortable margin as well.

The last event that was contested was the Frosh/Novice Eight and the Huskies took that one as well. They finished with a time of 7:19.60 while the Villanova boat finished in 7:28.54.
