San Diego, California - On Saturday, March 31, the Villanova women's rowing team made the trek across the country to Californina for the San Diego Crew Cup. It was a great experience for the team to compete against some of the best rowing teams that the west coast has to offer.

The varsity eight boat was the lone Wildcats boat competing,and they finished third in their heat with a time of 7:17.20.

That time was good enough to get them into the finals, where they would narrowly miss finishing first. Lehigh won the race with a time of 7:20.0 while Villanova was second with a time of 7:20.45.

Next, the Wildcats will hit the road once again, only this time it will only be a few hours north to the University of Connecticut on Friday, April 6.
