Philadelphia, Pa. - The Villanova women's rowing team returned to the Northeast on March 24 to compete in their first regatta in the area for the 2007 spring season. They competed in the Murphy Cup, held in Philadelphia over the weekend.

The Wildcats were led by the varsity lightweight four, who placed fifth with a time of 7:33.96.

The varsity eight came in sixth place (6:21.44) to round out the boats that qualified for the finals in their events.

The novice four crossed the line fourth in their heat while the novice eight finished third in their heat.

The rowers will now travel across the country to the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
