WINTER PARK, FLA. - The Villanova women's rowing team performed well against Rollins College and Florida Tech during spring break. The first varsity eight won the race with a time of 6:52.51 and was awarded gold medals and a cup.

The Wildcats' second varsity eight placed second with a time of 7:08.4, with Florida Tech finishing third and Rollins came in fourth.

The second varsity eight crew members from left to right: Maria Lara, Kristen Behrens, Elysse Voyer, Meghan Farnoly, Jessica Fumanti, Maggie Connolly, Kelly Hoisington, Ann Mitchell and coxswain Meaghan O'Connor.


Villanova's varsity four came in third in its race, while the novice boat also performed well.

Villanova returns to action on March 27 with the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia.
