Moving into seventh place in the latest USRowing Collegiate poll in the Women's Lightweight Varsity Eight division, the Villanova rowing team to the Schuylkill River on Saturday morning to brave the 35 mph wind gusts and race various crews from around the Philadelphia area.
The Villanova women's rowing team will compete on both coasts this weekend as the women's lightweight varsity eight will compete in the San Diego Crew Classic while the novice eight and four, alongside the varsity four, will compete at the Murphy Cup hosted by Temple University.
With not ideal weather conditions, the Villanova rowing team opened up their first local race of the 2015 season against Drexel and La Salle.
