The Villanova women’s rowing team is traveling across the country to California to compete in the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday April 1st. The only boat that will be racing in this classic is the varsity eight boat.

Emily Lenane (Milton, Mass.) broke a school record yesterday with a 6:58.9 ergometer test. An ergometer test is an indoor rowing exercise machine used for indoor rowing to test the power and agility of the rower.
The Villanova women’s rowing team competed in their face race of the season at the Rollins Invitational on Lake Maitland in Florida. The Varsity Eight boat was the first boat to compete and picked up a win with a 6:35.5 finish. They beat Duquesne, Rollins and Assumption in this race.
The Villanova Women’s Rowing Team begins their spring racing season this coming weekend at the Rollins Regatta on Lake Maitland in Winter Park, Florida. The regatta caps off an intense week of on-water training before the team returns to the Schuylkill River. The team has shown early speed this week in scrimmage pieces against Stetson.
