CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- Villanova senior midfielder Sarah DePeters (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit), the 2002 Patriot League women's lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, finished off her collegiate career with a 3.50 grade-point average (GPA) during the spring semester and is among the 60 student-athletes named to the 2002 Patriot League women's lacrosse academic honor roll. DePeters led 11 Wildcat players who were honored for their accomplishments in the classroom during the 2002 spring semester.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the 13 League-sponsored championship sports in the winter or spring.

On the women's lacrosse list, Bucknell led the league with 16 student-athletes, with Villanova coming in second on the academic squad.
