VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse team (5-9, 0-6) continues their BIG EAST slate this weekend when they travel to Cincinnati and Louisville for a pair of matches this Friday and Sunday. Game time versus the Bearcats is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26th while the Wildcats meet the Cardinals at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th.

Villanova This Season: The Wildcats enter this weekend with a 5-9 overall record after falling to Loyola and Georgetown last week. On the season, Villanova has posted wins over Marquette (W, 19-8), Central Connecticut (W, 11-8), Mt. St. Mary's (W, 16-7), Columbia (W, 16-7) and Davidson (W, 11-7). Losses on the year have come by the hands of Lehigh (L, 10-9), Princeton (L, 10-5), Drexel (L, 14-10), Notre Dame (L, 14-2), Syracuse (L, 19-7), Connecticut (L, 12-11 OT) and Rutgers (L, 9-6), Loyola (L, 16-11) and Georgetown (L, 6-5).

Judge's Game-Winning Goal Lifts Wildcats Past Louisville in Overtime
A game-winning goal in overtime from sophomore Ali Judge gave the Villanova women's lacrosse team its second BIG EAST conference victory of the season as the Wildcats defeated Louisville 9-8 on Sunday afternoon at Villanova Stadium.

Sophomore Jessica Mucci (Severna Park, Md.) leads the team with 46 points via 12 goals and 34 assists while Jackie Froccaro (Sands Point, N.Y.) follows closely behind with 41 points with 35 goals and six assists. Senior goalkeeper Amanda Hirschfeld (Timonium, Md.) has been the mainstay in net and owns a 5-6 record. She currently posts a 10.11 goals against average and a .461 save percentage.

`Nova vs. Cincinnati: Friday will mark the fifth overall meeting between Villanova and Cincinnati with the Wildcats holding the upper hand in the all-time series at 4-1. The opponents met for the first time in 2009 and Villanova has claimed the previous three meetings dating back to 2010.

A Look at Cincinnati: Cincinnati brings a 6-8 overall record into Friday's matchup. Cincinnati has captured wins over Coastal Carolina (13-8), Niagara (12-11), Liberty (7-3), Presbyterian (22-6), Detroit (16-6) and Marquette (14-5). Losses on the year have come from Oregon (16-5), Iona (13-12 3OT), Georgetown (21-3), Loyola (19-0), Notre Dame (13-6), Connecticut (15-2), Syracuse (21-6) and Louisville (18-10).

Kylie Ramsland leads the team with 27 points via 21 goals and six assists and is followed closely behind by Megan Bell (23g, 2a) and Taylor Young (21g, 4a). Meg Gulmi has been the mainstay in goal and owns a 6-6 record on the season with an 11.77 GAA and a .432 save percentage.

`Nova vs. Louisville: Sunday will mark the fifth overall meeting between Villanova and Louisville with the Cardinals holding the upper hand in the all-time series at 3-1. Villanova edged the Cardinals 9-8 at Villanova Stadium just a season ago on April 15th, 2012.

A Look at Louisville: Louisville brings a 9-6 overall record into Sunday's contest. The Cardinals have captured wins over Canisus (13-3), Ohio State (12-11), Old Dominion (21-3), Vanderbilt (13-10), Presbyterian (23-1), Detriot (19-2), Drexel (9-8) and Marquette (21-2). Losses on the year have come from Denver (19-13), Loyola (11-6), Georgetown (14-11), Notre Dame (16-15 2OT), Syracuse (19-7) and Connecticut (12-11 OT).

Nikki Boltja leads the team with 64 points via 54 goals and 10 assists while Katie Oliverio (23g, 37a) follows closely behind with 60 points on the season. Ashley Herbst has been the primary goalkeeper and owns a 9-5 record on the season with a 9.55 GAA and a .370 save percentage.
