VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse team (5-7, 3-2) continues their BIG EAST slate this weekend when they host No. 13 Loyola and No. 8 Georgetown for a pair of matches this Friday and Sunday at Villanova Stadium. Game time versus the Greyhounds is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 19th while the Wildcats meet the Hoyas at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 21st.
Villanova This Season: The Wildcats enter this weekend with a 5-7 overall record after falling to Rutgers 9-6 last Saturday. On the season, Villanova has posted wins over Marquette (W, 19-8), Central Connecticut (W, 11-8), Mt. St. Mary's (W, 16-7), Columbia (W, 16-7) and Davidson (W, 11-7). Losses on the year have come by the hands of Lehigh (L, 10-9), Princeton (L, 10-5), Drexel (L, 14-10), Notre Dame (L, 14-2), Syracuse (L, 19-7), Connecticut (L, 12-11 OT) and Rutgers (L, 9-6).
`Nova vs. Loyola: Friday will mark just the fourth overall meeting between Villanova and Loyola with the Greyhounds holding the upper hand in the all-time series at 3-0. The conference opponents met for the first time in 2010 for the start of the BIG EAST Lacrosse conference.
A Look at Loyola: 13th-ranked Loyola brings a 7-6 overall record into Friday's matchup. Loyola has captured wins over Penn State (13-11), Towson (11-10), Louisville (11-6), Cincinnati (19-0), UMBC (13-7), Notre Dame (14-13 2OT) and Marquette (17-2). Losses on the year have come from Virginia (10-9), Johns Hopkins (11-8), Florida (16-7), Delaware (10-9) and Georgetown (14-11).
Marlee Paton leads the team with 37 points via 22 goals and 15 assists and is followed closely behind by Hannah Schmitt (24g, 5a) and Taryn VanThof (17g, 12a). Molly Wolf has been the mainstay in goal and owns a 7-6 record on the season with a 9.68 GAA and a .396 save percentage.

Losses on the year have come from Duke (11-10), North Carolina (17-11) and Notre Dame (13-12).
Caroline Tarzian leads the team with 41 points via 28 goals and 13 assists while Kelyn Freedman follows closely behind with 24 goals and six assists. Barb Black has been the primary goalkeeper and owns a 9-3 record on the season with a 10.25 GAA and a .312 save percentage.
