VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse team (6-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) hosts Cincinnati (6-6, 0-2 BIG EAST) Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. as the squad plays its last weekend of home games.

The Wildcats lost, 12-10, at Temple last Saturday. Junior midfielder Hannah Goforth and sophomore attacks Meghan Breen and Kelsey Denihan each scored hat tricks in the contest. Junior attack Jessica Mucci notched three assists.

Balanced Offense Leads Villanova Over Cincinnati 17-7
Villanova outscored Cincinnati by an 11-4 margin in the second half to sail to a 17-7 victory over the Bearcats in Ohio on Friday afternoon. Senior Annie Fallon (Shrewsbury, N.J.) led the team with two goals and two assists while 11 different Wildcats posted points as Villanova improved to 6-9 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

Breen (20G, 7A) leads the Wildcats in goals and points (27). Mucci leads the team in assists (18).

Sophomore goalkeeper Jaclyn Fraum has started nine games for the Wildcats and holds a 9.12 goals against average and a .444 save percentage.

Villanova defeated Cincinnati, 17-7, last season.

Scouting the Bearcats
Cincinnati fell, 23-2, to No. 19 Louisville last Sunday. Ashley Helmrath and Courtney Curtis each scored in the first half, but the Cardinals kept the Bearcats off the scoresheet in the second half. Louisville outshot Cincinnati, 44-6.

Helmrath (17G, 14A) leads the Bearcats with 31 points. Curtis (22G, 7A) is second with 29. Meg Gulmi has started all 12 games in goal and holds an 11.97 goals against average and a .381 save percentage.
