VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse team (5-4, 1-0 BIG EAST) plays its last nonconference game of the season at Lafayette (4-8, 0-5 Patriot League) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Wildcats defeated Rutgers, 14-11, in their first conference game of the season last Saturday. Sophomore midfielder Shannon Galvin, freshman midfielder Becca Hetrick and senior attack Ali Judge each recorded three goals as Villanova beat the Scarlet Knights for the first time in program history.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jaclyn Fraum made 15 saves in the game. Fraum holds a 9.15 goals against average and a .450 save percentage.
The Wildcats are ranked first in the conference in assists per game with 5.11. Villanova is second in the BIG EAST in points per game (15.44) and is third in goals against average (9.56).
Villanova is 3-8 all-time against Lafayette, with the last meeting in 2011.

Scouting the Leopards
Lafayette (4-8, 0-5 Patriot League) dropped to conference foe Boston University, 9-8, last Saturday. Midfielders Ana White, Laura Kleiber and Kirsten Wilhelmsen each scored twice for the Leopards.
Kleiber (31G, 5A) and White (28G, 8A) pace Lafayette offensively with 36 points each. Meghan Curtis has started each game for the Leopards in goal and holds a 10.41 goals against average and a .364 save percentage.
