Women's Lacrosse Hosts Manhattan on Saturday

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse squad (1-5) is back in action on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. to host Manhattan at Villanova Stadium. It is also Student Appreciation Night. All students in attendance will receive a free gift following the game.
Senior Justine Donodeo became the sixth player in Villanova history to score 100 career goals when she netted five on Wednesday in a 13-9 loss against La Salle. She currently leads the Wildcats with 16 goals this season. Freshman Jackie Froccaro has recorded 11 goals this season and scored one on Wednesday night.
Junior Shawna Giust has won 16 draw controls and picked up 11 ground balls this season. She also has seven caused turnovers.
In goal, junior Dani Wiedmeier has 36 saves in six games played.
Manhattan in 2-5 overall and most recently fell 14-12 to Saint Joseph's. Senior Chrissy Gutenberger has tallied 27 goals this season and has 30 points. She has also picked up seven ground balls. Christin Fiorinelli leads the squad with 23 ground balls.
Villanova is in the midst of a five-game homestand.
