Villanova Women's Lacrosse Falls to Georgetown

Villanova, Pa. - The Villanova women's lacrosse team hosted the #6-ranked Georgetown University Hoyas today in non-conference action. Georgetown used an 11-0 halftime lead to take control of the game as they went on to drop the host 'Cats 17-0. The loss puts Villanova's 2000 record at 1-3 overall.

The Wildcats had a number of scoring chances in this one, especially in the second half, but Georgetown's goalie Bowen Holden stayed strong in net to thwart would be scores by the 'Cats. Villanova just couldn't seem to get it going against a strong Georgetown team that upped its record to 4-0.

The Wildcats next game will be Saturday, March 18, at 12:00 noon as they host Boston College.
