Kelsey Denihan Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK - Coming off a seven-goal game to open the season, sophomore attack Kelsey Denihan was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

In Villanova's season opening 20-7 win over Michigan last Saturday, Denihan registered seven goals and one assist for eight points. Denihan's seven goals were a personal best and are tied for the most by any BIG EAST player this season. Her seven tallies came on seven shots on goal.

The Manhasset, N.Y., native also recorded two ground balls and two draw controls.

In 16 contests last season, Denihan registered nine goals and four assists.

The Wildcats host No. 20 Navy tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Villanova Stadium.
