VILLANOVA, Pa. - Saint Joseph's senior Brett Dymarczyk had a hand in all eight Saint Joseph's goals to help lift the Hawks (4-11 overall, 0-7 Atlantic Ten) over Villanova (4-11 overall, 1-5 Patriot League) by the count of 8-6 here on Tuesday evening. The loss completes Villanova's season.

Dymarczyk assisted Kerry O'Connell on the first Hawk goal less than three minutes into the game. The pair reversed the partnership less than two minutes later when Dymarczyk took a feed from O'Connell to beat Villanova goalkeeper Jess McGrattan (Rochester, N.Y.) to make it a 2-0 Saint Joseph's edge. SJU would not trail the rest of the way.

A Steph Haas (North Wales, Pa.) tally off an assist from Katie Mannix (Crofton, Md.) cut the Villanova deficit in half with 23:04 to go in the first half. But O'Connell scored again off a pass from Dymarczyk with 13:02 left to make it 3-1. Sophomore Katie Ardington (Summit, N.J.) responded for the 'Cats at 12:32 before another Dymarczyk goal made it 4-2 for SJU at the half.

The first 11 minutes of the second half were scoreless before Dymarczyk struck again with a goal at 18:17 to make it 5-2. The two teams traded goals to make it 6-3 with 13:02 left before Villanova rallied with two goals from senior Meghan Carolan (Hicksville, N.Y.) and freshman Ashley Kazmerowski (Martinsville, N.J.) to close the margin to 6-5.

But Dymarczyk struck again for the Hawks with 2:50 remaining as she scored an unassisted goal. Fifty six seconds later she set up Kelly Butler for Saint Joseph's final tally of the night. A late goal from Mannix made the final score 8-6.

McGrattan enjoyed a strong night in net for Villanova, making 11 saves while Courtney Huff was credited with eight saves for the Hawks.
