Women's Lacrosse Falls at No. 20 Johns Hopkins

The 20th ranked Johns Hopkins Blue Jays snapped a two-game losing streak with a 17-2 victory over the Villanova Wildcats in a game played Wednesday evening in Baltimore.

Sophmore Jamie Larrimore scored four of Hopkins' seven goals in the first 13:11 as the Blue Jays took control early, 7-0. Senior Danielle Maschuci scored twice during the run, and sophomore Erin Wellner tallied the first of a career high six markers on the evening.

Sarah Judge scored a goal to put the Wildcats on the scoreboard at the 16:05 mark of the first half. But Johns Hopkins answered with four more scores to make it an 11-1 lead at intermission.

Molly O'Conor scored Villaova's second goal of the contest.

Villanova is now 3-12 on the season, 1-3 in the Patriot League. Villanova next sees action on Saturday, April 29 at Villanova Stadium in the season finale against Patriot League rival Holy Cross.
