Women's Lacrosse Falls to Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, New York - Heather Kain scored five goals and Janet Walsh added four goals to lead the Flying Dutchmen of Hofstra (6-2) to a 20-6 victory over the Villanova Wildcats (2-9) Wednesday afternoon at Hofstra Stadium. Villanova was paced by Liz Kenny with three goals and Maria McCusker with two goals and one assist.

Villanova's Liz Kenny scored her second goal of the game at the 15:06 mark to bring the Wildcats within one goal at 4-3. But Hofstra, behind Kain's five goals, went on a 14-0 goal run to open an 18-3 lead with 7:11 to play in the game.

Former Wildcat and now Hofstra graduate student Kristin Streeker, who ranks third all-time in goals (83) and seventh in points (86) at Villanova, came back to haunt her former teammates by recording three goals and two assists for the Flying Dutchwomen of Hofstra.
