Lehigh Sends Women's Lacrosse To Its First Patriot League Defeat

The Villanova Wildcats dropped a 13-9 decision to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in a Patriot League contest played Tuesday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa..

Caitlin Cocks (Northport, N.Y.) paced the Wildcat scoring attack with three goals while Sarah DePeters (Rochester, N.Y.) added a pair of goals. Junior Terri Overturf (Havertown, Pa.) also scored two goals while Julie Feddeman (Potomac, Md.) and Jackie Higgins (Manhasset, N.Y.) also beat Lehigh goalkeeper Christina Dolan on the afternoon.

Samantha Vose scored four goals and had an assist for the Mountain Hawks, who held a 6-5 edge at halftime.

The Wildcats fall to 3-6 overall on the season and 1-1 in the Patriot League. Next up is another Patriot League road duel, this one on Saturday, April 1 at Lafayette. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
