The Villanova women's lacrosse team (7-5, 2-1 BIG EAST) experienced their first home loss of the 2015 campaign falling to their BIG EAST rival Georgetown (3-9, 2-1 BIG EAST) with a score of 9-5. Despite a hat trick from senior Jackie Froccaro and 11 saves from junior goalkeeper Jacklyn Fraum; the Wildcats were unable to control the ball and suffered their first loss in five games.

Their commanding 18-4 victory was the worst loss-deficit for the Bearcats all season and the biggest win Head Coach Julie Young has tallied during her four year tenure.

The Villanova women's lacrosse team (6-4, 1-0) will host its first BIG EAST foe at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 4th in Villanova Stadium as the Wildcats take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (2-9, 0-1). Coming off their 10-6 victory against Marquette, the Wildcats are discovering momentum as they get into the thick of their schedule as they currently hold the longest winning-streak in the conference having not lost a game since March 14th. Hat Tricks from Denihan & Dottino Seal Wildcat's First Conference Victory
The Villanova women's lacrosse team (6-4, 1-0) travelled west to take on their first BIG EAST foe of the season Marquette (4-7 0-1) at Valley Fields in Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday March 28. The Wildcats came out strong posting four unanswered goal within the first ten minutes of the match; two of which came from free-position shots. Sophomore transfer Carolyn Dottino tallied her seventh goal of the season off a free-position shot at 24:41 to give the Wildcats the early edge. A little over three minutes later junior Meghan Breen added her own goal to the board off a pass from junior Kelsey Denihan at 21:47.
