Villanova, Pa. - Sophomores Dana Ramsden (Woolwich Twp., N.J.) and Lauren Wuzzardo (Bridgeton, N.J.) were named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region Second team. Both played a pivotal role in the Wildcats season in which they finished 12-7 including six shutouts. This is the second award for the pair as they were both named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.

Ramsden, who redshirted last year, came back strong to provide an offensive spark for Villanova. She tied the team lead with nine goals and recorded four assists in 19 games and was named to the BIG EAST honor roll three times throughout the season. One of her strongest performances came against BIG EAST rival, No. 17 Rutgers, where she scored a goal and had an assist.

Wuzzardo tallied seven goals and four assists on the season. After leading the team with 13 goals in 2007, Wuzzardo came back strong in her second year with the team, creating many offensive opportunities for the Wildcats. She was named to the BIG EAST honor roll in week one and finished the year strong with two goals against Saint Joseph's, a game tying and game winging score in overtime.>p? The duo, who provided almost 40 percent of the team's goals, will return to action next season with two remaining years of eligibility.
