Dana Ramsden Named to Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team

Award is second post-season honor this year

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova redshirt junior forward Dana Ramsden was named to the Mid Atlantic Region Second Team as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association today. The award marks the second post-season honor collected by Ramsden after embarking on an successful 2009 campaign where the Wildcats finished 9-8 overall and 2-4 in the BIG EAST Conference.

Ramsden notched 14 goals and added eight assists during the 2009 campaign, good for 36 points for the year and second overall on the team. Over the course of the season, Ramsden was twice named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for her performances with the Wildcats.

In addition to this prestigious award, Ramsden was also named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second consecutive year.
