Nov. 7, 2013

STORRS, Conn. - Junior back Maddy Harding earned a position on the All-BIG EAST Second Team for the 2013 season, as announced by the conference Thursday evening.

The Warrington, Pa., native returned after missing the 2012 season to injury and served as one of the most crucial members of the Wildcats. She started all 17 games and led Villanova (4-13, 1-6 BIG EAST) in goals (8) and points (19) this season. Harding also tallied three assists.

Harding also led the team in shots with 58, and recorded two defensive saves over the season. She scored in each of the Wildcats' last two games of the season, a 1-0 win over Georgetown and a 6-1 loss to No. 16 Delaware. Harding was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll earlier this week.
