PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Freshman midfielder Lauren Wilson (Hummelstown, Pa.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. It is Wilson's first career Honor Roll after she scored two goals in a defeat at Providence on Saturday.

Wilson scored the tying and go-ahead goals in the second half, but Villanova was unable to hold on as they fell 3-2 in overtime. Wilson also scored the game winning goal in their September 24th victory over Rutgers, 2-1. Wilson is now tied for second on the team with four goals this season.

With Wilson being named to the Honor Roll, Villanova has now had six straight weeks of representatives on the conference list.

Also being named to the Honor Roll were Connecticut's Jestine Angelini, Louisville's Hayley Turner, Providence's Daniella Bernasconi, and Syracuse's Heather Susek.

Syracuse's Liz McInerney was named Defensive Player of the Week and Connecticut's Chloe Hunnable was named Offensive Player of the Week.

Wilson and the rest of the Wildcats will get back into action on Wednesday night at St. Joseph's and will follow that with their next BIG EAST game at home on Saturday against Louisville.
