VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova field hockey is teaming up with the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR)! Join us Sunday, September 30 at 1 PM, as the Villanova Wildcats take on the Bryant Bulldogs and as we celebrate "Stick It To Cancer!"
Last year, the team raised over $1,200 for the NFCR that went toward finding a cure for cancer, as well as the prevention, education and treatment of the disease.
The Wildcats will hold a balloon release prior to the game to celebrate the cause in a tangible way. Fans can write a name/message in memory/honor of someone for whom they would like to pay tribute -- a survivor, a fighter, or someone who has passed. VUFH will also be hosting a "Meet & Greet" autograph session with the team, coaches, and mascots immediately following their post-game wrap up.
Check out the FirstGiving website for more information on the NFCR or to donate to the cause.
