Villanova University Joins National Foundation for Cancer Research to "Stick it to Cancer"

The event will take place this Saturday against Louisville

Clare Devine enters her fourth season as an assistant coach for Villanova during the 2013 season. She will be responsible for on field coaching, alumni relations, assisting with recruiting and working with goalkeepers.

Prior to joining the Villanova field hockey staff, Devine began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at West Chester University where she was responsible for training goalkeepers, game film management as well as administrative support. She is also actively involved with USA Field Hockey's Futures program and earned her Level II Development Coaching Accreditation in 2011.

As a student-athlete at the University of Scranton, Devine served as team captain during the 2008 season in addition to holding responsibilities as the vice president of SAAC. She was also chosen to attend the NCAA Division III Leadership Conference as a student-athlete representative from the Scranton athletic department.

A 2008 Scranton alumnus, Devine earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Theology and gained her M.S.A. in Sport and Athletic Administration from West Chester University in 2010. She currently resides in West Chester, Pa.
