Wildcat Women Sign Three Recruits

Villanova head women's basketball coach Harry Perretta today announced the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Courtney Mix, Brandi Harris and Jana Rediger will all enroll at Villanova in the Fall of 2000 and be members of the 2000-2001 Wildcat squad.
Mix, a 5-11 forward is a native of Perrysburg, Ohio, where she attends Toledo Central Catholic. Last season, Mix helped lead Toledo Central Catholic to a 26-1 record by averaging 12.3 ppg., 7.2 rpg., and 5.2 apg. For her efforts last season, she earned second team All-State honors. She is the daughter of former Philadelphia 76er and current 76er broadcaster Steve Mix.
Rediger comes to the Main Line from nearby Sellersville, Pa., where she attends Pennridge High School. As a junior last year, the 6-3 Rediger averaged 18.5 ppg., and 17.5 rpg and garnered first team accolades from the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Intelligencer, the News Herald and the Morning Call.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Harris is a 5-6 point guard who attends Canevin High School. A three-time All-Section performer, she was named Pittsburgh Post Gazette Player of the Year last season as a junior. Harris was also a Post-Gazette Fab Five West selection, in addition to earning pre-season Honorable Mention All-American acclaim from USA Today.
