Big 5 Women's Coaches to Host Player/Coaches Clinic at Saint Joseph's

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.-- The women's coaches of the Philadelphia Big 5 will hold a girls' basketball clinic on Saturday, October 29, 2005 for girls ages 6-16 as well as for grade school, high school and AAU coaches. Clinic registration will open at 9 am and the clinic itself will run from 9:30 am until noon at the Alumni Memorial Field House. Coaches Cindy Griffin of Saint Joseph's, Pat Knapp of Penn, Tom Lochner of La Salle, Harry Perretta of Villanova, Dawn Staley of Temple and Denise Dillon of Drexel will be on hand to discuss offensive and defensive strategies with the coaches. Players from each Big 5 team will be there to teach drills and skills to the players and to instruct the young participants throughout the morning.
The cost of the clinic is $25 per person. The event will be limited to 300 participants and pre-registration is encouraged. To receive a brochure and registration form, call 215-898-4747.
