Wildcats Set for Tour of Italy
May 27, 2004 The Villanova University women's basketball team is preparing to embark on a 10-day trip to Italy. The team will leave Philadelphia on Thursday, May 27 and play five games before returning home on Sunday, June 6. During its tour, Villanova will visit six Italian cities including Milan, Como, Florence,Venice, Pisa and Rome.

Last season's senior class of Jeanine Johnson, Courtney Mix and Kelly Nash along with this year's incoming freshmen will not take part in the tour. The Wildcats will tip-off the tour with a game versus Ivrea Basket on Saturday, May 29. The other four games will include contests versus Biassono Basket on Sunday, May 30, Reyern Venezia on Tuesday, June 1, Girls Base Basket Livorno on Wednesday June 2 and the tour finale against GS Palestrina on Thursday, June 3.
Villanova is coming off a 23-7 season that saw them earn an NCAA Tournament bid for the fourth consecutive year. Complete coverage of the team's five games can be found on Villanova's official website at www.villanova.com.
