VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Big East Conference has announced the home and away league schedule for the 2007-08 women's basketball season. The Big East Conference schedule consists of a 16-game slate. Each team will play 16 league games - seven opponents home only, seven opponents away only and one opponent both home and away known as a repeat opponent.

Villanova's seven home only opponents for next season include Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall and Syracuse. The Wildcats seven away only opponents are DePaul, Louisville, Notre Dame, Rutgers, St. John's, South Florida and West Virginia. The team's repeat opponent for the 2007-08 campaign will be Providence. In the first two years of the newly formed 16-team Big East, West Virginia served as Villanova's repeat opponent.

The entire 2007-08 schedule with dates and times will be released in August.
