Omaha, Neb. – The Villanova Wildcats traveled to Omaha, Neb., on Tuesday night where they fell to the Creighton Bluejays by a score of 60-46. With the loss, Villanova falls to 6-9 overall and 2-3 in Big East play, while Creighton improves to 11-5 overall and 5-1 in conference action.
Wildcats to Omaha for Showdown with Creighton
Tuesday’s game at Creighton will be the eighth all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Bluejays. Creighton holds a slim 4-3 advantage in the series. Villanova is 1-2 all-time in games played at Sokol Arena (65-58 loss on Dec. 28, 2013; 65-61 win on Jan. 9, 2015; 53-48 loss on Jan. 29, 2016).
Villanova Registers Road Win at Providence
The Villanova Wildcats traveled to Providence, R.I., on Sunday afternoon where they tallied a 64-59 win over the Providence College Friars. With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 6-8 overall and 2-2 in Big East Conference play, while the Friars fall to 9-7 on the season and 1-4 in conference action.
Women's Basketball Travels to Providence for Sunday Afternoon FS1 Game
Beginning with Sunday’s game at Providence, Villanova will play four games in a seven day span. After visiting the Friars, the Wildcats will travel to Creighton on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Villanova returns home next weekend to host Seton Hall on Jan. 13 (11:30 a.m.) and St. John’s on Jan. 15 (1 p.m.).

The Villanova Wildcats led wire to wire and tallied a 71-50 win over the visiting Georgetown Hoyas. With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 5-8 overall and 1-2 in Big East play, while Georgetown falls to 8-5 overall and 0-3 in conference action.
