Skeeters, Juhline Earn Big East Post-Season Honors

At the Big East Conference award's banquet held on Friday, March 3, in Storrs, Conn., Villanova senior forward Jenea Skeeters was named to the Big East All-Conference second team, while freshman guard Trish Juhline received Big East All-Rookie Team honors.

Skeeters averaged 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Wildcats in her final Main Line campaign. She ended the regular season eighth in the conference in scoring for overall games. Skeeters scored in double-figures in 21 of the team's 27 contests in 1999-2000. She enters the Big East Tournament tied for fifth on the Villanova all-time scoring list with 1, 355 points.

Juhline led the Wildcats in scoring for Big East contests with 14.4 points per game. For overall games, she finished the season averaging 12.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.0 spg. Juhline led the Villanova team in three-pointers made with 59. She ended the regular season with 10 straight double-figure scoring performances. Juhline is currently eighth in the conference in scoring and third in three-pointers for Big East games.

The 6th seeded Wildcats will face the 11th seeded Providence College Friars in the Big East Tournament's first round on Saturday, March 4, at 8:30 p.m., at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn.
