Wildcats Take on Georgetown Sunday in Play4Kay Pinkout

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova will look to return to its winning ways on Sunday, Feb. 23, when the Wildcats play host to the Georgetown Hoyas. Tip-off at The Pavilion is set for 1 p.m. The game can be seen live on Fox Sports 1. Villanova enters play 19-6 overall and 9-5 in Big East play, while Georgetown is 9-18 overall and 3-12 in conference action.

Sunday afternoon's game will be part of the WBCA (Women`s Basketball Coaches Association) Play4Kay initiative to raise awareness for breast cancer. The Play4Kay name is in memory of North Carolina State coaching legend Kay Yow who passed away in 2009 after a long battle with breast cancer. Each school across the country chooses a February game as part of the Play4Kay initiative. In recognition of Play4Kay, Villanova players will wear pink shoes and pink shooting shirts, while the Villanova coaches and support staff will wear pink coaching shirts.

Wildcats Earn 59-49 Road Win at Georgetown
The Villanova Wildcats traveled to Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, where they tallied a 59-49 win over the Georgetown Hoyas.

Georgetown and Villanova will be meeting for the 54th time on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats lead the all-time series by a 34-19 count and have won three of the last four against the Hoyas. Villanova won at Georgetown earlier this year with a 59-49 victory on Jan. 29.

Beginning with Sunday's game against Georgetown, Villanova will play three of its final four games at home. After the Georgetown contest, the Wildcats will host DePaul on Tuesday, Feb. 25, before traveling to Xavier on Saturday, March 1. Villanova will conclude the 2013-14 regular season on Tuesday, March 4, against Marquette. The Wildcats are currently 6-3 at home this year.

The Wildcats are led in scoring by senior guard Devon Kane who is averaging 12.0 points per game, while sophomore guard Caroline Coyer is second with a 10.8 points per game average. Kane also leads the team in assists with 103 and steals with 29, while junior forward Taylor Holeman owns a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game average.
