NEW YORK, N.Y. - For her efforts last week in two games, senior guard Devon Kane earned a spot on the Big East Conference Weekly Honor Roll. This is the fourth time this year that she has been named to the conference Honor Roll.
Kane averaged 13.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per contest and 4.5 assists per game in helping Villanova to a 1-1 week. Her best effort of the week came in a 61-46 win over Butler when she had a team-high 15 points. In Saturday's loss to St. John's, Kane tallied 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. She also eclipsed the 100 assist mark for the year in the St. John's game.
After 25 games, Kane currently leads the Wildcats in scoring (12.0 ppg.), assists (103), steals (29) and minutes played (31.8 mpg.).
Kane and the Wildcats return to action on Sunday, Feb. 23, when Villanova hosts Georgetown at 1 p.m. Villanova is currently 19-6 overall and 9-5 in Big East play.
