Villanova Look to Snap Four-Game Losing Streak

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova will look to snap a four-game losing streak when the Wildcats travel to Seton Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Villanova enters play with a 16-7 overall record and a 5-5 mark in Big East play, while Seton Hall is 8-15 overall and 3-7 in league action. Tip-off at Walsh Gymnasium is set for 7 p.m.

Entering play on Wednesday, Villanova leads the all-time series with Seton Hall by a 34-18 count. The Wildcats have had the upper hand of late against the Pirates. Villanova has won 10 of the last 13 meetings between the two teams. The Wildcats defeated the Pirates twice last year, including a 62-53 win at Villanova in the regular season and a 61-60 victory in the first round of the Big East Tournament.

Wildcats Advance in BIG EAST Tournament

In the first round of the Big East Tournament on Friday, March 2, No. 10 Villanova tallied a hard fought 61-60 win over No. 15 Seton Hall. With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 17-12 overall, while the Pirates finish the season at 8-23.

In Sunday's loss to Marquette, senior forward Laura Sweeney posted her third 20-point game of the year when she had 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, including a 2-of-3 effort from three-point range and a 6-of-8 effort from the foul line. The 26 points represent a season-high scoring effort. She now has 13 career 20-point games.

The Wildcats are led by Sweeney who leads the team in scoring (13.2 ppg.), rebounding (6.7 rpg.), field goal percentage (.530), steals (52) and blocks (42). Roberts ranks second in scoring at 10.9 points per game.
