VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Wildcats will play host to the Marquette Golden Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 10. Villanova enters play with a 16-6 overall record and a 5-4 mark in Big East play, while Marquette is 11-11 overall and 3-6 in league action. Tip-off at is set for 2 p.m.

For the first time in three years, Villanova will play Marquette at home in The Pavilion. Due to a scheduling change, the Wildcats have played the last two seasons in Milwaukee. Marquette is 2-1 all-time in games played at Villanova. The Golden Eagles have won four in a row against Villanova.

Villanova Loses Heartbreaker At Marquette

Marquette sophomore guard Katie Young hit a 40 foot shot at the buzzer to defeat the Villanova Wildcats by a score 51-50 in women's basketball action on Tuesday, Jan. 10. With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in Big East play, while Villanova falls to 11-5 overall and 2-2 in conference action.

In Tuesday's loss to Notre Dame, Villanova had three players score in double figures, including Emily Leer (15), Rachel Roberts (14) and Laura Sweeney (11). This is the first time in eight games that Villanova has had three double figure scorers. The Wildcats are 6-1 this year when having three double figure scorers and 3-0 when four players reach double figures in the point department.

Villanova currently leads the country in fewest turnovers per game at 11.5. The Wildcats have had seven games this year where they have had a single digit turnover game. Villanova has led the country in fewest turnovers per game in three of the last six years, including last season when the Wildcats averaged 12.1 per contest.
