VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova will host the Xavier Musketeers on Saturday, Jan. 25, in a Big East Conference contest. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. The Wildcats enter play 13-5 overall and 3-4 in Big East play, while Xavier is 8-11 overall and 3-4 in conference action.

Prior to Saturday's game with Xavier, the Villanova women's basketball program will hold its annual Alumnae Day. The Alumnae Game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., and will be followed by a lunch reception. Nearly 50 former players are expected to return for the event.

Saturday will be just the second all-time meeting between Villanova and Xavier. The first meeting came on March 21, 2006, when the Wildcats defeated the Musketeers by a score of 59-47 in the second round of the WNIT. Xavier is in its first year as a member of the Big East Conference.

Villanova was charged with just six turnovers in Wednesday's 59-52 loss to St. John's. This marks the 10th time in 18 games that the Wildcats have had a single digit turnover game. Villanova currently leads the country in fewest turnovers per game at 9.2 per contest.

The Wildcats are led in scoring by senior guard Devon Kane who is averaging 11.6 points per game, while sophomore guard Caroline Coyer is second with an 11.0 points per game average. Kane also leads the team in assists (78). Junior forward Taylor Holeman and sophomore forward Kavunaa Edwards are averaging a team-best 5.9 rebounds per contest.
