VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova looks to win its second consecutive Philadelphia Big Five championship when the Wildcats travel to Penn on Wednesday evening for the team's final non conference game of the season. The Wildcats enter play with a 13-2 overall record and a 3-0 Big Five mark, while Penn is 7-6 overall and 1-1 in City Series action.

The Wildcats will be looking for their 100th all-time Big Five win on Wednesday evening. Villanova is currently 99-35 all-time in Big Five play (.738). The 99 wins are the most by any Big Five women's program. Saint Joseph's is second with 96 victories.

Wildcats Defeat Penn to Win Big Five Title
The Villanova Wildcats captured the 2011-12 Philadelphia Big Five championship with a convincing 52-30 win over the visiting Penn Quakers. With the win, Villanova improves to 12-6 overall and 4-0 in Big Five play, while Penn falls to 7-7 overall and 0-3 in City Series action.

Over the years, Villanova has had a great deal of success against the Penn Quakers. Entering play on Wednesday, the Wildcats lead the all-time series with Penn by a 37-2 margin. The Wildcats have won the last nine meetings over the Quakers.

The Wildcats are led by senior forward Laura Sweeney who leads the team in scoring (12.4 ppg.), rebounding (6.0 rpg.), field goal percentage (.552), steals (40) and blocks (26). Senior guard Rachel Roberts ranks second in scoring at 10.7 points per game, while freshman Caroline Coyer has a team-best 43 assists.
