VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova returns home on Saturday, Jan. 11, to take on the Seton Hall Pirates in a Big East Conference game. The Wildcats enter play 12-2 overall and 3-1 in Big East play, while Seton Hall is 9-4 overall and 0-2 in conference action. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m., and the game can be seen live on Fox Sports 2.
Saturday's game against Seton Hall will be the 54th all-time meeting between the teams. Villanova currently leads the series by a 35-18 margin. The Wildcats have won four in a row over the Pirates and five of the last six in the series.
Entering play on Saturday versus Seton Hall, sophomore point guard Caroline Coyer leads the nation in assist to turnover ratio at 4.69 to 1. Calli Berna of Arkansas is second at 4:54 to 1. Coyer and Berna are the only two Division I players who have a ratio above 4.00. For the year, Coyer has 64 assists and 15 turnovers.
Villanova is led in scoring by senior guard Devon Kane who is averaging 11.4 points per game, while sophomore guard Caroline Coyer is second with a 10.5 points per game average. Kane also leads the team in assists (66.), while Coyer leads in steals (15). Junior forward Taylor Holeman is averaging a team-best 6.0 rebounds per contest and shooting a team-high 58.9 percent from the field.
